Halloween 2009

Ahh...Halloween....Chad and I's favorite holiday!
Here are pictures of our cute little pumpkin and our beautiful witch!
Kala loves dressing up for Halloween...and I love dressing her up, too! :)
This Halloween was a little hectic and we didn't get to do pumpkins, but it was still fun. There was a great trunk-or-treat at Grama and Grampa Lunceford's church, and although Jace slept through his first experience, Kala had lots of fun(Course, how can you not, when free candy is involved!)
Luckily, we were able to get a few awake shots from Jace before we headed home...

In New News....

As of Friday (10/30), Chad has been given the opportunity to join in on some research at ASU involving one of Neptune's moons. (kind of a rare opportunity) The rest of this semester he'll be working on becoming familiar with a couple computer programs and then next semester, he will be doing actual research. We are both very very excited!!!

DRUM

Chad's Birthday

A sombrero, a song, and free dessert..... oh yeah

DANCE CLASS

So I had to fight to get these pictures off of my phone, but I got them!
These are pics of Mykala's first dance lesson...she was so cute. (Grama Lunceford and I watched from the side.) The other little girls were fascinated with her, too. They had fun copying everything Kala was doing. Unfortunately, it made class a little bit of a handful for the teacher, but Kala really enjoyed it!

The Park!

Way too cool for a swing!

The Park!

July 2009

Here's a good one. A picture of Mykala all dressed up with the most beautiful accessory above her eye. (I think this was when she tripped UP the stairs....)
But band-aid or no band-aid, she's still beautiful!!! (She is definitely, as she says, "a tough princess!")
Mykala has changed a lot since March.... she's becoming more intelligent, independent, and curious. She is learning numbers and letters right now and can write "mom", "dad", and "Leela" (from Futurama... and don't ask why that came precedent over her own name because I don't know!)
Because it is now "too cold" to swim, Kala has been occupied with dance. She's been taking dance lessons for a couple months now where she learns tap and ballet... and she loves it.
She still draws and colors, loves to play at the park, and as you might have guessed, likes watching Futurama (we're not sure if we should be proud of this or not!)
She's still taking good care of her little brother, although, we've noticed she's also started copying him. Needless to say, I really hope this passes quickly...

August 2009

Well here's "Jacer Speed Racer". This picture was taken in August, which would make him about 6 months here. He is now 8 months and cruisin' around the house like it's nothing - although he refuses to get on those knees of his. He'll soon have some arms to show the ladies because he moves by pulling himself across the floor (and has carpet burns to prove it!)
He's sitting up now, of course, and blabbing... he's getting big already. :(
There were a few months (just recently) where whenever you picked him up, his arms would automatically wrap around your neck in a tight hug.....it made me melt every time! But now that he's getting bigger and more independent, he has "better" things to do than hug.
I just hope that smile and happy attitude of his NEVER goes away!!

So it's been awhile....

Well it's a whole new semester!! And this happened almost as I thought it would. I knew I'd set up a blog and then something would happen (in this case it was a broken computer) to keep me from updating it as much as I wanted to....
But now that months have passed since the last post, I can now update with a lot of new info! :D
