Valentines Party

Grama & Grampa, Jace, and Mykala surprised us with a Valentines Day party last night! They decorated the house with hearts, we had dinner, then we split up into twos and painted each other's faces. Kala and I, Jace and Grampa, and Grama and Dad were teamed up. It was really fun! We also split up into teams and played games, boys vs girls. This goes without saying, but the girls won. :)

Power Rangers

This was taken at Julian's Power Ranger birthday party. It had to have been taken in November, not August, so the dates on the camera must be wrong. I'm late in posting it because I just found it. :)

Saturday

A small party at Peter Piper Pizza. We did invite 3 other kids from daycare, but they couldn't make it, so it was small and very nice! We celebrated with just the Alejandro family. We always have fun with them. :)

We made Ninjago cupcakes. They were made with yellow cake to match Legos and we did all of the Ninjago colors: red, blue, green, black, and white. Jacer was so happy with them! When he noticed (as we were decorating), he clung to my leg while bouncing up and down and thanked me. :) 

His birthday cupcake was Kai, his favorite ninja at the moment.

We struggled with the theme this year. He wanted Ninjago, but it was hard to do without having everything shipped to us and needed lots of free time in order to prepare (I did have GREAT ideas, though.) And he loves Spider Man, Skylanders, Cars, Legos, and Star Wars. We ended up doing a little bit of everything and our little man loved it, of course. :)

Sunday

A party with Gramma and Grampa Lunceford, Doug, Joyce, Daisy, Gail, Butch and Carol.

Since we had so many birthday parties to do, we figured we'd just reuse the Spider Man banner.

He didn't care of course, the boy is crazy about Spider Man.

 More Ninja cupcakes! The second batch were chocolate instead of yellow cake.... completed with more super awesome Lego candles!

Parent Teacher Conference

Mykala got to teach US this year at PTC. She was so excited about getting to boss us around! :) We had to go to different centers, where we had to do things like take tests about her school day, practice our spelling, write in a journal, do arts and crafts (bunny ears), and play games. 

She is doing great in school. She loves doing math (her favorite subject) and is getting 100%s on her spelling tests! She also loves to read; recently she's been really enjoying the Junie B. Jones books. Her favorite thing to do at recess is jump rope. :)

 She is fantastic!

The Big ol' Four (pt1)

The birthday boy and his mint chocolate chip ice cream cake of awesomeness.

Jacer had a big day today! Although he had to go to school, I made sure he had a birthday treat for his class -  the boy chose Goldfish over everything else. :) (But he's pretty dang crazy about his Goldfish.)

He then went and played at the park with Grandma and Grandpa while dad and I went to Kala's PTC. (It was fun and Mykala's doing wonderful! More on that later.)

Jacer got a Ninjago movie, Ninjago legos, a superhero book, cars, Skylander legos, and Skylander figures that talk. It seemed like he had a really good day - he was one happy little kid!

Rockets!

Jace had a blast kicking dirt. Sometimes he was more interested in that then the rockets.

Yep. We love our special little guy. :)

We set two rockets off twice, and as you can tell from the picture, the yellow one didn't survive. The blue one made it though. We'll get more pictures - we have another one to make and Mykala's going to paint it purple. I will post the videos of this trip if they're any good.

Doctor Mykala

Last night I had a headache and little miss Kala said she knew what to do about it. When we got home, she sat me on the couch, got me ice for my head, massaged my head for a little bit, gave me my iPod and earphones, and a glass of water. Turned out that it was EXACTLY what I needed. She's absolutely wonderful. :) :)

Car Show

We went to a car show this morning. I posted pictures that Kala took on her photo page.
