This year's dance theme was "If I Won the Lottery" and Mykala's  group did Minnie's Bowtique.

The dresses were so dang cute this year and the song was SUCH a Mykala song. :)

I wasn't supposed to video this dress rehearsal (oops), but the set was pretty impressive so I'm kind of glad I got it on video. I did miss the first couple seconds because I was fighting with the camera, though. One of these days we'll start having luck with it.

The recital went really well today. Kala really is such a diva!

May 18th - Car Wreck

The kids and I got in a car wreck two weeks ago. I was making a left during a yellow light and the other driver, accelerating to miss the red light, hit the front side of our car. The kids and I are fine for the most part, but the car was totaled. Mykala and I are seeing a chiropractor, trying to get ourselves back together. Right now we are fighting with our insurance and (somewhat) patiently waiting for the other driver to contribute so this can be settled. We don't know who (officially) is at fault yet. I don't feel I'm at fault, but I certainly should've been more careful. We have a witness who said the other driver ran a red light - it all might depend on that one person since so many have already given up due to the majority of cases. Chad and I have decided to get a lawyer involved - it's a very messy and highly emotional situation. We're hoping for something good to come out of this chaos.
I don't know if I'm brave enough to post pictures. :)

Easter Party

The mall party wasn't as great this year as it was last year, but we saw some cool animals. 

They did a great job....

nothing screams "Happy Easter" more than snakes, turkeys, lizards, roosters, scorpions, and tarantulas.... especially when they're together in one room.

I tried to get a better picture of this, but she was too excited about the other animals. This one here is a big scorpion... you can kind of see its tail.

I liked this guy. :) 

He was sneaky too! He didn't move much and I didn't realize he was there until the end.

(Hmm. Weird. I must've forgotten to take pictures of the tarantulas...)

 I'm not sure why she did arms - I kind of missed the face paintings. She was great, though. :)
